Since 1846, Athens watches have been known for making innovative and precise timepieces. Therefore, naval commanders and merchant ship captains around the world have successively pursued the figures of the Athens watch, the astronomical clock and the observatory pocket watch. The Athens watch in Le Roque, Switzerland, always releases stunning and award-winning watches every few years.
These mechanical watches provide collectors and Swiss watchmakers with a source of design inspiration for stable performance and timeless beauty. Today, with its heritage mission, Athens Watch launches the ‘Golden Paul David Watch’ to pay tribute to its glorious history.
The son of the founder of the brand, Mr. Paul David, took over the Athenian watch after the death of Mr. Athens in 1876. The ‘Golden Paul David Watch’ was named after it and reproduced the classic watch that appeared in 1945.
The elegant appearance of the watch belongs to the classic series. The silver surface is matched with Arabic numerals, which retains the classic aftertaste. The back of the watch is engraved with the classic logo of Le Locle.
The 39mm stainless steel case of the ‘Golden Paul David Watch’, with a fine brown leather strap, is equipped with a UN-320 self-winding movement, which drives the small seconds display and calendar at 6 o’clock window.
